FAQ

What Will I Learn?

See The Course Program

How long is the Course?

The Course is expected to take 12 weeks on average to be completed. Some do it faster, some a little slower. You will receive free, unlimited updates to the course.

The first program delivery took place on 10th July 2006!

What kind of time commitment can I expect to give to the Course?

There are 12 topics in 3 modules to read with exercises to carry out and an assignment to complete. It is anticipated that approximately 3-5 hours a week will be required to undertake the course. If required I can be available for time on Zoom (needs to be booked) but emails will always get a response if you’re unsure of something. Alternatively you will be able to ask questions at our private Facebook Group.

When does the Course start?

Students are welcome to join any time and they will receive their login details within 24 business hours of their application and payment being processed.

What is the cost for this VA Course?

Whatever is listed on the home page or the Course page. I provide special offers from time to time (with over $1,000 value included).

Payment may be made by direct debit using GoCardless, EFT (email me for details) or you can be invoiced.  You will not gain access to the Course until payment has been received and processed.

What if I don’t want to do the training course but would like some coaching instead?

This may apply to those who have been operating for some time but don’t feel they’re getting anywhere and want to get to the next level with their business. You can elect to buy time blocks, email me what you need to cover in advance (to give me time to assess my answers and what’s needed) and then we chat via Zoom. Each person’s needs are different but I am available for $150 for a 45 minute session or 3 sessions for $300. To book 1 session, click here. To book a 3 session package, click here.

Do I have to leave my job to get started?

No, you do not need to quit your full time job to get started, and in fact, I would not advise it, unless you have some other income stream and were able to do without your current wage for a period of time.

Building a business takes time and it will not happen overnight. It is reasonable to expect that you could do client work during the evenings and weekends – not all clients need things to happen right now (although many think they do, the reality is they often don’t as long as they know the work is being done and soon).

However, as your client base and work starts to grow you might consider moving from a full time job to a part-time job, to give you more hours in your own office, with the goal of going full time at some stage. I was full time in the first 12 months, but not all have that same experience, for many it’s around two years.

It’s good to set a goal and to focus on it to get things happening.

What type of income can I expect to earn as a VA?

This will vary, depending on your circumstances, time availability, the types of services you plan to provide and the cost of living where you are located.  VAs can definitely earn a full time income within a 12 month period and definitely above $40k AUD/USD and other currencies. Some even earn a 6 figure income.  Some are happy to earn $20k a year, part-time, looking after family or still managing a part time job elsewhere. It really is up to you to decide what would be a suitable figure for this to be a successful venture.

You’re in Australia and I’m not, is that a problem?

No, not at all. It doesn’t matter where you are or where I am, what matters is that you have the skills and capabilities for being a Virtual Assistant and that you need the guidance and training to get started. This course is entirely virtual so as long as you can read and write English and understand what is needed then you are eligible for the course. The course is designed for English speaking/writing Virtual Assistants, irrespective of their location.
